Walking Mountain Science Center
From pre-k to gray enjoy opportunities to explore nature, gain a scientific understanding, and learn about the many wonders of our mountain environment through natural science and sustainability programs. Explore your curious nature with us!  

FIS Audi Birds of Prey World Cup
Beaver Creek Mountain is home to the formidable Birds of Prey racecourse, challenging an international roster of top athletes for one week of racing featuring Men's Alpine Ski Racing.

Mini Golf & Par 3
Not into a full 18 holes? Try Willow Creek Par 3 course in Eagle-Vail or really go small and play a round of mini-golf in Lionshead Village in Vail.

Fly Fishing
The Vail Valley is home to some world-class fly fishing. Start up valley in the Gore Creek or make your downstream a little bit to the Eagle River. Bring your own reels and explore the wonders of these waters or enlist the services of one of the valleys guides to help you land that trophy fish you have always dreamed about.

Beaver Creek Rodeo
The Beaver Creek Rodeo features the full line up of classic rodeo events – Bronc Riding, Team Roping, Barrel Racing and of course, Bull Riding! Get in on the rodeo action by signing up for the Calf Scramble, Mutton Bustin’ or Burro Racing. Bring the whole family for pony rides, face painting, and mechanical bull rides!
 
World-Class Skiing
The primary feature from November until mid-April is the world-class skiing and snowboarding at Vail and Beaver Creek.

Jeep and ATV Tours
Numerous backcountry tours are available on designated trail systems throughout our area. Learn local history, view scenic wildflowers, mountain ranges and sunsets with several options to choose from. For the adventurous, rent your own ATV and explore alpine meadows, rushing brooks and spot wildlife.

Stand Up Paddle Boarding
Try your hand at the new craze of stand up paddleboarding. Guides will effectively teach stand up paddling techniques and river dynamics, as each paddler actively controls his or her board downriver.

White Water Rafting
This is a prime, central location for white-water rafting trips. From family-friendly float trips on the Upper Colorado River to rip-roaring whitewater rapids in Brown's Canyon, guided tours are available on a variety of rivers including the Colorado River, Arkansas River and Eagle River.

Vail Mountain's Adventure Ridge is a stadium-sized snow park full of fun times for the whole family. Play in the afternoon and well into the night with ski bikes, kids snowmobile track, a slippery slope of rip-roaring tubing lanes, bungee trampoline, and snowshoeing.

Mountain Biking
The Town of Vail offers paved recreational paths throughout town. Vail Mountain offers dirt single-tracks and lift access. The paved pathways and the dirt trails provide opportunities to walk, jog or bike while enjoying the town's mountain landscape.

Hiking
Hiking by far is the most popular summer activity in the Vail Valley. From a path along the Eagle River to summits of 12-14,000 feet, there are trails for all ages and levels of ability.

Golf
There are few places in the world where the game of golf can be played in such astounding natural beauty. Best yet, golfing at altitude means you're a drive away from one of the longest drives you'll ever hit. Public courses can be found in Vail, Eagle-Vail, Avon and Eagle.
